Class Description

Skill level: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Skill Level: Students should be comfortable operating a sewing machine and sewing a straight stitch. Students should have completed a few sewing projects and be ready to level up. Prerequisite Intro to Sewing class or equivalent. Make a simple and cute top with gathered sides! The pattern has two options for sleeve length: View A uses a simple cuff and View B has a 3/4 gathered sleeve. The top can be sewn from a single fabric or as a patchwork. In this class students will learn: -How to understand a pattern and make simple adjustments based on your measurements -How to finish seams with pinking or a zigzag stitch -How to gather fabric -How to use bias binding to face a neckline -How to use bias binding to bind a sleeve (View B) -How to hem a garment See pattern website for fabric yardage.
